New Bayou Books exists for one simple reason: to spark a literary revolution in South Louisiana literature.
Why?
Because I am sure there are great writers in every parish, from the Cajun Prairie to the Cameron Coast, writing entertaining and maybe even important novels that the world needs to read.
My motivation is really that simple.
And so is my plan: independently publish the best South-Louisiana based literature I can produce, and to encourage other writers to do the same.
I hope some of them join up with New Bayou Books—I am building expertise in the new landscape of publishing where you don’t need permission, but you do need help—but whatever the name on the book, I just want to see more Louisiana writers out in the world.
